In 2004, Share Our Strength developed its national strategy to end childhood hunger in America. This strategy focuses on long-term solutions that support access to nutritious foods and healthy choices—the difference between feeding a family tonight and ensuring that they never have to worry about when their next meal will come. It is designed to bridge the gaps between existing, effective programs and the families who need them.

"When Foodbank barrels appear at Citrix Online offices, our employees quickly fill them. Some employees, both locally and in remote offices, donate via the online food drive. When there’s an opportunity to volunteer at the Foodbank, our employees always sign up.They know that a few extra items in their shopping carts or a few hours of their time means meals for those in need. It's part of making our community a better place to live and work. And there are few better ways to improve someone's quality of life than to improve their quality of food --which is what the Foodbank does." Liz Werhane, Internal Communications Manager, Citrix Online.
